My therapeutic style emphasizes mutuality, empathy, humor, active listening, and a non-judgmental stance to allow clients to explore their feelings and experiences for self-discovery and personal growth. I am a relational psychodynamic therapist with a psychoanalytical orientation.
With a foundation in understanding unconscious processes and how they shape our thoughts, behaviors, and relationships, my approach is rooted in creating a safe and supportive space for introspection and healing. Together we will work to uncover and co-create meaning from your life experiences. Drawing from psychodynamic principles, I work with clients to consider underlying patterns that may be influencing current challenges, aiming to foster insight and promote lasting change.
Additionally, I emphasize a collaborative exploration of unconscious processes and cultural influences to understand further how these factors influence your daily life. My background in critical and visual studies has fostered a deep commitment to exploring the intersections of power, identity, and social structures that shape our psychological landscapes. By integrating critical theory principles into our sessions, I aim to help clients uncover and challenge their underlying assumptions and relational dynamics that may be contributing to distress or dissatisfaction.
Whether addressing long standing issues or exploring newfound insights, I am committed to guiding clients on a journey of self-exploration and personal healing within a compassionate and supportive therapeutic environment. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate through diverse topics including anxiety, depression, sexuality, gender identity, life transitions, self-image, trauma, grief/bereavement, and more. I am kink/sex work/polyamory & consensual non-monogamy affirming.
