Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on the courageous choice to pursue therapy, as it is a true act and expression of self-love and kindness. This courageous choice is a testament to your strength and resilience. My aim is to co-create a secure and comforting space together that allows you to explore your unique lived experiences by connecting that history to your current experience through discussion of your emotional awareness, cognitive processes, and how you interact within the world.
I recognize that our world may cause us harm, whether intentional or unintentional. My hope in our work together is to separate any harm or trauma experienced from serving as a defining characteristic of your personhood. In my practice, I remain committed to working with members of the BIPOC community, serving individuals who hold intersectional identities, and sharing space with folks that have diverse and rich life experiences. My goal is to honor and uplift your unique light with the hope that you may grow more comfortable in sharing it with others in this world.
I am intensely passionate about utilizing a trauma-informed, person-centered, and integrative approach to care. I am very eager to assist you in attaining the clinical resources salient to all of your dimensions of wellness. My foundational practice approach is psychodynamic with a trauma-oriented lens that aims to help you explore what may have happened in your past and connect that to your current experience. I also use a neurobiologically informed approach in my practice with an emphasis on relational attachment, mindfulness, and polyvagal theory. I use this eclectic approach as I believe there is no universal approach that best serves your individual and unique needs. I would be honored with the privilege to be trusted with your care.
Wishing you abundant comfort and peace.
